Students at Northern Education Trust Mount Pellon Primary Academy, one of ten primary academies sponsored by Northern Education Trust, have achieved their best ever Key Stage 2 results. The percentage of students reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths was particularly impressive, with an amazing 64% of students achieving the expected standard, demonstrating an improvement of 7% against last year’s results and achieving 5% higher than the national average.

Ruth Collyer, Principal, thanked the students and staff for their efforts and commitment, saying: “These results are the culmination of years of hard work for our students, and I’m absolutely delighted with their achievements. I’d like to express my thanks to staff for their continued efforts – the results are testament to their continuous support, energy and enthusiasm. My thanks also go to the parents, carers, Academy Council and the Trust Board for their continued support – our students and staff couldn’t succeed without your help.”

Jane Wilson, Deputy Chief Executive added her praise, saying: “We’re over the moon with these results, which reflect the dedication and commitment shown by both students and staff, making all their hard work worthwhile. They are moving on to the next stage of their education with confidence in their ability to succeed. My thanks and congratulations to you all.”
